Korean
company Samsung is preparing to launch its next major update, One UI 8.5.
Recent leaks have revealed a host of changes, features, visual improvements,
and additional functionality that will enhance the user experience on Galaxy
phones.
One of the
most notable changes is the addition of a "3D" effect to the icons on
the home screen, giving them a more vibrant and beautiful appearance, as if they
are emerging from the screen. Although this effect relies primarily on
background shadows, it adds a beautiful and fresh visual touch to Samsung's
interface.
According to
reports from SamMobile, the new version includes a redesign of some apps, such
as the Digital Wellbeing app, to make them more clear. A partial screen
recording feature has also been added, along with a new color gradient for the
Gallery app, giving it a beautiful, modern look.
Samsung also
continues to draw inspiration from the Liquid Glass concept, incorporating
floating elements into the interface to enhance its visual fluidity.
In addition
to visual improvements, SammyGuru spotted the Family Sharing feature, which
facilitates content sharing between family members. The feature, Private
Display, was expected to launch with the Galaxy S26 series, but has already
appeared in the One UI 8.5 beta.
The Korean company is expected to officially unveil One UI 8.5 alongside the Galaxy S26 series early next year. This update represents a new step toward improving the user experience and usability by incorporating more attractive design elements and practical features that enhance privacy and sharing.
