American
company Microsoft has officially begun rolling out the Windows 11 25H2 update,
the new anniversary version of the operating system, which is being gradually
distributed to users' devices. Unlike some previous major updates, this version
comes in the form of an "activation package," making it smaller and
faster to install via Windows Update, especially for devices that receive
regular updates.
While this
update doesn't introduce any radical changes to the system interface, it
focuses on significant performance and security improvements, along with the
removal of some outdated and unused features.
First:
Advanced and powerful security improvements
Addition of
a more sophisticated system for detecting vulnerabilities, both during code
compilation and during application execution.
Reliance on
artificial intelligence-powered tools to help developers write more secure
code.
Second:
System Cleanup and Removal of Outdated Features
Support for
some features that are no longer widely used has been discontinued, such as:
PowerShell
2.0
WMIC
The goal is
to reduce the likelihood of the system being attacked by malware and increase
system efficiency. Third: Improved Performance and Stability
The update
maintains the same codebase as the 24H2 release, which means both continue to
receive the same monthly features and robust security updates.
Installation
speeds are faster thanks to its smaller size compared to previous releases.
The update
is now available for users who have enabled the "Get the latest updates as
they become available" option in Windows Update settings.
The package
can also be downloaded manually from the official Microsoft website.
The update
will be rolled out gradually, and devices experiencing driver or application
compatibility issues may be delayed until Microsoft resolves them.
